Understanding the LGBTQIA+ Community
This training is offered virtually or in person. the goal of this training is to help anyone understand more about the language and culture of the LGBTQIA+ population. It is designed for an average person to understand but can be used in organizations as well. It helps people understand norms, sensitivity and practices around sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. It also teaches how to be a good ally to fellow coworkers, friends, and family.
Writing Letters for Gender Affirming Treatment
In this training, providers will learn how to write a full referral letter for someone who is Trans/NonBinary/Agender to receive the desired medical procedures. The training will teach providers what questions to ask to gather their information for the letter and even how to format it to have the best chance of acceptance by a doctor and insurance.
Race and Ethnicity in the Therapy Room
In this training, providers will understand how the concept of race plays a role in their treatment of all clients. As well as understand what their own race brings to the therapeutic space. The training will provide tools on how to manage race in your therapy but not overpower your therapy. This training also helps you understand what baises you bring in the therapy space and how that affects the treatment.
